Malvasia armchair Design Francesca Lanzavecchia Malvasia is an outdoor seat that projects graceful and straight patterns of lights and shadows through its metal weaves. Despite its apparent simplicity, its design expresses a true production challenge: to extract the backrest and seat from a single perforated and calendered piece, and then weld them almost invisibly to the tubular frame. A particularly complex treatment that brings the metal close to its flexibility limit and softens its impenetrable coldness. Evoking the warp and weft of a fabric, but also the play of shadows of a tree canopy, Malvasia is a seat that lends itself to animate any outdoor space, even terraces and gardens. The legs, characterized by a double curve, give poetic lightness to the furnishing, whose minimal profile is completed by the addition of armrests and soft cushions.
